In the early days of the Mount Morgan Mine (one the richest gold mines in the world, mining gold, silver and copper) thirsty miners had a unique tradition. Since they couldn't leave the mine site during their shifts, they would pay young local to "run the cutter." The "cutter" was a tin or enamel vessel filled with cold beer from the local pubs and raced back to the mine before the froth could settle. Today Mount Morgan celebrates this old tradition with the 'Running of the Cutter' race at our annual Golden Mount Festival, and this item features a high-quality, durable sticker of the famous Mount Morgan Running of the Cutter Statue to honor that legacy.
