Our Trivia Even Night!

Can we talk about how incredible last Friday night was? If you walked past Wattle Bee Next, you probably heard a whole lot of laughing, some intense whispering, and maybe a few people playfully arguing over movie release dates. We hosted our Hollywood and movie-themed trivia night, and honestly, the turnout completely blew me away.

Lately, I’ve been reading a lot about the concept of a "third place"—that crucial space outside of home and work where you can just show up, let your guard down, and connect with your people. In a world where so much of our lives happens through a screen, creating these physical spaces for local connection and community building feels more important than ever. Friday night was proof of exactly that.

The energy in the room was electric. We had heaps of awesome prizes up for grabs, a special mocktail menu available for purchase that everyone loved, and a sneaky scavenger hunt around the shop for bonus questions that had everyone on their feet. But one of my absolute favorite parts of the night was teaming up with our local friends down at The Grand Hotel. They supplied the most delicious pizzas for everyone to share, which made the whole night feel like a true collective effort. Supporting other local businesses while bringing people together is what hyper-local community is all about.

Seeing the dining room packed with familiar faces and new friends just unwinding and having fun together was the ultimate reminder of why we do this. Thank you so much to everyone who came out, laughed, and put their movie knowledge to the test!
